Alisha & Kellen’s Costa Rica Wedding~ Destination Wedding Photography~ Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
Well…I could probably write a book about this couple. First off– they are some of my dearest friends….and I am so honored that I got to be the one to document such an amazing time in their lives! Thank you!!
Second, I can’t hang with the beer and shots anymore. Damn. This was probably the most fun group of people on the planet…glad I am part of it! 😉 Not only did I get to have a vacation (sans kiddos!!) with my hubby and some of my best friends…but got to meet a bunch of new ones that I adore! Aside form the wedding, we had an amazing week of beach fun, boats, jungle walking, and too many Pura Vida drinks by the pool! woohoo!
The whole week took place at a hotel called the Costa Verde Hotel, in Manuel Antonio. Isabel was the name of the gal who helped coordinate and plan everything– she– along with the whole staff– was absolutely amazing. As for this gorgeous wedding– As we came down the jungle dirt road in our 4×4 cars taking us to the ceremony spot (on the beach)– I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped as the beach came into sight and I laid eyes on the Ceremony location. Really!? So gorgeous. It was a perfect ceremony– and the weather held out wonderfully! (It was “green” season is Costa Rica…rain comes everyday usually!) The ceremony ended with the bridal party chiming in on “Sweet Caroline”– it was adorable.
We had some fun on the beach with photos– and snagged some of the Bride and Groom, before heading up to the Reception at El Avion restaurant! The Best Man wanted to do a photo with all of their Bill Murray shirts on…so they could post to the Chive Website….as one of the guys who works there was at the wedding. It was fun– got a couple cool ones! The restaurant had Killer view!! The rain came literally moments after arriving under the cover….and it was not a sprinkle….so glad it waited! It was really cool to be sitting up so high on the mountain..looking out over the ocean (no windows of course…just a covered Patio essentially!)– and see the rain come in! We also had a Sloth visit that evening right over the ledge!
Needless to say (you’ll see form the photos)– that we partied it up. It was awesome. Had to end the night with a “rain shot” of course…so I took them out front of the Restaurant and snagged a shot of them! (What you won’t see is my friend/assistant of the day, running madly around them trying to light paint for me….which didn’t end up working. ;( Thanks though friend! 😉
So– Costa Rica– here we go!
