Yowza— I am SUPER behind on blogging some seriously beautiful weddings!! It was an awesome Wedding Season this year– and I am so fortunate and lucky to have been a part of so many gorgeous and memorable weddings this year! In may attempt to somewhat catch up on sharing some of these photos– I give you Hazy & Kody! I went a little nuts with this post I think….oops. 😉 Anyway– you’ll see why! These two are freakin’ absolutely adorable together– and I was just in LOVE with Hazy’s style!! Isn’t she stunning!???
They spent their day at Briarwood Inn in Golden! It is a beautiful, quaint little restaurant/venue that is located about 5 minutes from downtown Golden! With the fun Mountain town atmosphere, mountain backdrop, and beautiful summer foliage on the grounds…it was a perfect place for a Colorado Summer wedding! We did have a bit of clouds and rain– but I honestly LOVEd the way the darker clouds played with the light…and one of my favorite photos of the day was the best man holding the umbrella over Kody’s head during the ceremony! Sun is beautiful– but dramatic skies are amazing as well– and there wasn’t enough rain to ruin anything- so it was a win!
Hazy’s antique approach to all the table decor and style of the day was so unique and artistic! Every table had different little antique treasures, scrolls, candles, and flowers….such a creative mind!
With so my any memorable and unique parts of this wedding….the decor, the couple, the weather, etc….my favorite part of the day was when Hazy busted out the most bad-ass sing-along to Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana” at the end of the night. Hands down, awesome. Well played.
Congrats you two!! Thank you for having me along on your adventure!! It was an awesome day!!
Special thanks to my partner-in-crime that day– Erin Cady!!
So, this is one of those couples that I wish I could hangout with now. These two are just ridiculously cute together…and we totally hit it off when we met up this last year to discuss their photography. I was sad to learn that they actually lived in Texas…and we wouldn’t be doing an engagement session (bc I love them…and they’re a great way to get to know the B&G)– mostly because I could just tell how cute they were going to be with each other! I was right……. (scroll down to photos of them together….)
This gorgeous wedding was at The Black Canyon Inn, and Twin Owls Steakhouse in Estes Park, CO. I have shot a handful of weddings there now– the staff is wonderful, and it is just gorgeous! For a colorado backdrop…you really don’t get much better! We were luck enough that night get an amazing sunset too! Bonus! I was so happy to have lots of time with just the two of them also– so that we were able to get multiple locations for shots of just them….after all, that is what the day is about! 😉
The ceremony and night carried on beautifully, with heartfelt toasts (thanks for making me cry….), and awesome moments between parents, and guests that were ready to boogie!! There were a handful of kiddos that I seemed to bond with as well….so naturally I had to take some photos of them.
A few things I loved:
– the way Greg couldn’t keep his hands off her and just ADORED her. seriously.
– the way he teared up when she walked down the aisle (look for the two black and white photos of him…)
– The parents were all so sweet!!! Greg’s dad was killin’ me with his dancing…it was awesome.
– really….all of it….it was a great night.
I was stoked when they wanted to do some fun night-time photos with lights right before we had to leave– so I totally photo-geeked out on them! It was pretty hilarious, and a group effort! Thanks to my second (Kristy), my tripod, the Maid of honor, and her BF (I think!?lol?)– anyway– we managed to get a pretty cool shot with the use of tripods, headlamps, flashes, timers, and glow sticks! Good stuff 😉
It was a beautiful day Andrea and Greg!! Thankful for allowing me to be a part of it!!
Also a big thank you to my Second shooter Kristy Wedel! You rock girl!
I was so honored to be a prt of this wedding. Period. I just love these two…and their adorable little girl!! I knew Tiff way back in Highschool….and the wonderful world of Facebook re-connected us just a couple years ago when she was wanting photos of her Newborn! I have had the chance to photograph little Kayla since she was born…and this lil’ dam has become so special to me!! So, naturally, when they decided to go ahead and tie the knot— I was so happy I got to be the one to photograph it!!
May is always a crazy month for weather in Colorado….it could snow, rain, or be 90. Luckily, we did not have any snow that day…and the rain help off enough to be able to do the ceremony outside!! woohoo! They got married and had their reception at a gorgeous little venue in Morrison, called Willow Ridge Manor. I have shot a couple weddings there– and it is such a fun a gorgeous setting! After the wedding, I stole the couple away for a bit to head over to the Mt. Falcon trailhead to do a few more pics with Red Rocks in the background! Pretty sweet.
I LOVE that they wanted to do pics with Zach’s Bike!! I was probably a little too excited….I definitely photo-geeked out. I love the way these turned out…so cute. I mean bad-ass.
The rest of the night was filled with fun dancing, a good cake smash, good toasts, and photo-booth crazy-ness!
Thanks to Tess Polivka for shooting with me and doing a great job!
The last photo is me with Tiff– I love you Tiff!! Thank you for having me be a part of your day and life! Cheers and congrats!!
